"I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up, for the course of Christ."

" These are the writings of a man who is out of his mind."

If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God. 2 Corinthians 5:13

Always start a read with prayer and end with prayer.

 HEAVENLY FATHER,

Search us, O God, and know our heart, try us, and know our thoughts. And see if there be any wicked way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting. Have mercy upon us, O God, according to thy lovingkindness, according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out our transgressions. Wash us throughly from our iniquity, and cleanse us from our sin. Then opened our understanding, that we might understand the scriptures. May your word, O GOD, reproof us, correct us, and instruct us in righteousness. In the name of JESUS we pray this prayer. AMEN!

Learning how SIN works in our life.

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Friday, March 9, 2018, In : Teaching
Luke 15:11-32 The prodigal son

At some point a sinful thought entered his mind and he captured that thought and ran with it. That thought led to another thought. Each thought he captured led him in a direction he was not sure of but looked to be right in his eyes. (You know sin doesn't always look like a bad thing, especially when it consumes us to the point that we can't see the truth. It seems to have a way with us that we can't ignore.)

The son followed this path as  it continued to lo...

Everybody Sins

Sin is Sin and Everybody Sins

Have you heard this before? It's called a half truth. It is an excuse to Sin. It is deceptive and seductive.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This is the truth about everyone. We all have and will sin but not over and over and over with the same sin.

In John 8:1-11
We see a woman who was accused of sin and brought before Jesus by some teachers of the law and Pharisees. She was found in the act of adultery, they said and should be s...

Art Work

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, In : Teaching

It's art. It'll look good and it'll tell a story.

Chase: Hey John, how are you?

James: Hey John.

John: Good. How are you Chase? How are you doing James?

Chase: Well blessed!

James: I'm Good.

John: I hear ya!

Chase: Listen John, Friday night some of us are going to meet at the court house downtown.

John: What are you guys going to do there?

James: We are going to buy some spray paint and tag the building. I've got some real art work the would make the building pop. Want to meet us there?

John: No! We c...

Intercessory Prayer

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Saturday, April 9, 2016, In : Teaching

Epaphras - A man of prayer. A man who labored much in prayer and who put an emphasis on intercessory prayer.

There are three things we can learn from the life of this man of prayer.

First, God gave gifted men and women to the Body of Christ and each individual believer was given at least one spiritual gift that could be exercised in order to build up the local church. Epaphras had the gift of an evangelist. Not all of us have that gift. The gift is not to be confused with the command to evangel...

Thankfulness

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Sunday, October 4, 2015, In : Teaching
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Matthew 22:37

It is impossible to love God too much; however it is easy to fall short of loving Him with your whole heart. In a moment of honesty with myself and the Lord I asked “Lord, how can I love you more”?

Instantly the Lord responded “be thankful”. In on...

What to give? What to get?

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Friday, December 5, 2014, In : Teaching
What to give? What to get?

Another day, a man stopped Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

What to give in order to get?

Jesus said, “Why do you question me about what’s good? God is the One who is good. If you want to enter the life of God, just do what he tells you.”

Give what God tells you to give and you will get what God has to give.

“If you want to give it all you’ve got,” Jesus replied, “go sell your possessions; give everything to t...

Peace

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Saturday, November 15, 2014, In : Teaching
What we love more than anything about coming home, about being at home. Can be described in one word. A word that many of us know but don't use that much. A word that is used mostly these days as a farewell word. Most people in our world don't understand this word as a positive concept. All they know is the negative aspect of this word, which is merely the absence of trouble.

PEACE.

When we are at home we find Peace there. The word Peace is described as, freedom of the mind from annoya...

Intentional prayer. Explosive power

Intentional - Done on purpose. Deliberate. Done in a way that is planned or intended.Synonyms - deliberate, calculated, conscious, intended, planned, meant, studied, knowing. willful, purposeful.

Praying intentionally can be learned from the bible and the prayer of a man named Nehemiah.

If you will, turn in your bible to Nehemiah chapter 1 please. Take a minute to read his prayer starting in verse 4.

As you read Nehemiah's prayer, you can feel ...

Celebrating Transformation

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Sunday, March 9, 2014, In : Teaching
Imagine that we could carry on a conversation with a caterpillar and I was to tell him that he could grow and become bigger, but he’d have to shed his skin. He might say, “I like my skin. I was born with this skin. I can’t change it. I don’t want to change it.” But for a caterpillar to grow it has to shed its skin. What if I said to the caterpillar that he could be transformed?  Instead of crawling around on branches and eating leaves, he could fly across meadows and drink the ...

Inspection

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Thursday, February 13, 2014, In : Teaching
A thought from a man out of his mind. Just take a look at how a person is taking care of the things God has entrusted them with. We may say this or that but how we handle things shows proof of what we believe in our heart and it will always line up with what we say. For it is written: But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart. Matthew 15:18. Before salvation and then After salvation we are given a new heart. For it is written: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit ...

Sin Police

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Thursday, January 2, 2014, In : Teaching
Sin Police or Teachers.
Let's all go to one another and point out each others sin's and if we don't stop then let's get another to witness us pointing the sin in our lives out to each other and if we don't stop then let's carry each other to the church and point out our sin's to and before the church so that we all can be removed from the church and the fellowship of each other and others. Looks to me like the church is now empty. Even the pastor is gone. Now what? For all have sinned a...

Thoughts

Posted by Donnie Crawford on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, In : Teaching
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
Do you allow yourself to entertain impure thoughts?
Sinful acts begin as attitudes or temptations in your mind and emotions.
For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly (Mark 7:21-22). Each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desi...

Compassion

Have you ever seen someone that you just had to meet? Someone that drew you to them in someway or another. A person that you saw as being different in some way. Having something about them that was just so different from everyone else. Have you ever laid eyes on someone that you just knew you had to meet them and get to know them? Some say that they met in spirit. Truth is, there is more to this than just meeting in spirit. There is a reason for this taking place.
       This was the wa...

GRACE

Understanding Grace

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NOTHING can separate us from the love of GOD. NOTHING!

Mary goes to the tomb of JESUS and finds HE is no longer there. There an angel spoke to Mary and said, " Go tell the disciple's and Pe...

                                   JESUS FREAK

I am a GOD fearing man. I am an Owner of NewSpring Church in South Carolina. I am a believer that GOD loves us and has given us part of HIMSELF to live within this body of flesh that we have. I know for a fact that I am just passing through this world and that I will someday return to my creator(GOD). Gal. 2:20 is my life verse. I hope and pray that you have found yours. AMEN!

My prayer is that your love for each other may increase more and more and never stop improving your knowledge and deepening your perception so that you can always recognize what is best.
